Driver Cited After Crashing Into A Restaurant

State Police Trooper Kolacz received a report of a crash in Seal Rock, where a car crashed into a restaurant. A Chevrolet Tahoe was being driven northbound coming into Seal Rock and witnesses described the Tahoe was traveling too fast where the driver had to swerve to the right to miss rear-ending the vehicle in front but then crashed into the side of a parked Subaru and then continued into the side of Luna Sea Restaurant.

The driver and passenger of the Tahoe were transported to the hospital in Newport for treatment. The Subaru was unoccupied. No one inside the restaurant was injured as a result of the car crashing into the restaurant. The driver, identified as 62-year old Steven R. Adair of Seal Rock was issued a citation for Careless Driving. Two dogs inside the Tahoe were taken into the care of Lincoln County Animal Control.
