Highway 18 Lane Closures

Expect one lane of OR 18 from milepost 9 to 19 along the H.B. Van Duzer Forest State Park to be closed for tree removal starting Monday, Dec. 4. ODOT works to manage forested areas near state highways to reduce hazards. Crews continue to trim and remove trees that are found in poor health and that are at risk of falling in high winds or heavy snow. These trees could threaten bicyclists, pedestrians, drivers, and all users of state roads.The work will be done from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The work is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 14. Work is weather dependent. Travelers can expect 20-minute delays on this section of OR 18. Flaggers will be in place with the use of a pilot car to guide motorists around the work crews. The work zone will be spread over 10 miles. If you plan to travel this route next week, remember that this work will cause daytime delays. Plan ahead and give yourself extra time. Be prepared to stop and give our crews space.
