Samaritan Offers Webinar On Vaccine

Samaritan Health Services expects to start receiving a very limited supply

of coronavirus vaccines by the end of this week. Distribution plans developed by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) have set forth a framework for who will receive the initial doses. Health care workers, first responders and residents and staff of long-term care facilities will be among the first to be vaccinated. Following this first phase, other populations, such as

essential workers and those who are medically at high risk will be vaccinated in subsequent phases as established by the OHA, until there is enough supply to make vaccination available to the general public.

How were these vaccines produced so quickly? Is it safe? Will there be side effects?

Learn more about the vaccine and get your questions answered with Infectious Disease Specialist and Coronavirus Task Force Chair Adam Brady, MD, of Samaritan Health Services.

When: Thursday, Dec. 17, at noon
