EUREKA CEMETERY VOLUNTEER DAY

May 18 10AM—2PM

Make it a day for the family!

History: Talk about the people who developed the city (Case, Nye, Fogarty, Gilmore, etc.) and the streets and buildings named after our founders.

The Environment: Identify plants, birds and bugs.

Shapes and colors: Look at the variety of headstones.

Military: Discuss the different branches of our military. Their branch, rank and war(s) they served in is on the headstone

Math: Calculate the ages of people who have passed.

Photography: practice focus, composition and effects

Play: fly a kite, play fetch with your dog, play toss or throw a Frisbie

Things You Can Do To Help Us

Pick up litter (the cemetery can provide bags) Remove dead flowers from graves

Clean Headstones

Battery operated power tools are welcome for edging around headstones

Our Annual Memorial Day Ceremony is Monday, May 27th at 11:00am

Additionally, you are welcome at the cemetery from 6am– 7pm to clean. The office is open Mon-Fri 10am-2pm if you have questions or need assistance.
