On 12/29/2021 at approximately 5:54PM on Hwy 18 at milepost 5. Investigation showed the driver of a silver Ford SUV was traveling westbound when it crossed over the center lane colliding with a white Subaru SUV who was traveling eastbound. The Ford then proceeded westbound colliding with a silver Truck that was also traveling eastbound. The Ford came to a rest crashing into the embankment on its side. The driver, identified as 22-year old McKenzie Evenson and the passengers in the Ford, were safely removed from the vehicle by medics. Evenson reportedly showed signs of impairment and was asked to consent to field sobriety tests. She was arrested and transported to the Lincoln City Police Department and was asked to provide a breath sample, that showed she had a 0.16 blood alcohol content, twice the legal limit. Evenson and was cited and released for DUII alcohol.
