Neighbors For Kids (NFK) is pleased to announce Kids Zone will be open for the upcoming holiday on Monday, February 18th! There will be lots of fun activities for all ages and healthy food will be provided to all kids. If parents are needing quality child care, kids ages 3-18 can enroll and participate at Kids Zone. There are plenty of spots available in the preschool program and afterschool program, so new families are always welcome!
Monday’s theme will be “Planes, Trains & Automobiles!”. Kids will take part in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) projects, learning about how helicopters work and constructing various designs, building electrical circuits for robot battery-powered cars and preschool age kids will be making balloon-powered cars. The group will also research the history of trains and how they have changed and improved with technology over the years.
Kids Zone is open from 8:00-5:30, with a fee of $30 per day or $15 for a half-day, there is a sliding scale for families and scholarships are available. Teens in 7th-12th grade can attend for free. During the day there are other fun activities such as visual arts, music, games, sports, and much more. *Please note, parents must provide their own transportation to the program on February 18th.
