On Friday September 1st was the annual stuff a bus. Parents in need of school supplies had the opportunity to stop by the factory outlet mall in Lincoln city to pick up supplies. Roger Robertson who has been organizing the stuff a bus program for the last 21 years said he is delighted at how generous the community is in supporting students and families. Robertson said they will donate supplies to the schools as well.
On Tuesday 9/5/2023 they will be dropping off funds and left over school supplies at Oceanlake, Taft elementary and Taft 7-12. He said they raised $17,500 to help throughout the year. When students are in need of supplies the schools will have them available. There were many organizations and businesses that donated including Mo’s the Lincoln City Kiwanas club, Lincoln City rotary, Grocery Outlet and Lincoln City gifts donated $6,000. Jeff and Nicole, owners of the store said they have been collecting donations since July and are grateful to give back to the community.
