Another ‘Banner’ Year! Nye Beach Banner Auction Returns November 1st

A kick-off party will take place on Saturday, November 1st, from 12 pm to 5 pm on the 2nd floor of the Newport Visual Arts Center (VAC). Bidding opens on November 1st at 1 pm and closes November 7th at 5 pm. All bidding takes place online.

Another ‘Banner’ Year! Nye Beach Banner Auction Returns November 1st
NEWPORT, OR – The beautiful, hand-painted banners that have graced light poles throughout Nye Beach will soon be auctioned off, as is tradition, to raise money for youth arts programs offered through Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA).
Founded and coordinated by Veronica Lundell, the Nye Beach Banner Project allows seasoned artists and first-time art makers alike to donate their time and talents in creating original works of art. The delightful, unique results are then displayed throughout the Nye Beach area in the summer and early fall. Afterward, the Project donates the banners to Oregon Coast Council for the Arts to be auctioned off, with the proceeds supporting youth arts programs.
