

Hit And Run Suspect Turned Himself In
On Friday, 2-20-2026, at about 6:30pm Lincoln City Police Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a pedestrian in the area of NW 15 th Street on Highway 101. When they arrived, they found 80-year-old Lincoln City resident, Joseph Koffend, injured on the street. Lincoln City Police Officers, North Lincoln Fire and Rescue personnel, and Pacific West Ambulance staff provided medical care until Koffend was able to be transported to the Samaritan North Linco


Tibetan Monk Tour
Bringing a beautiful gift to coastal cities, four Tibetan monks from Gaden Shartse Phukhang Monasteries in India are touring the Oregon coast this February, with week-long stops in Lincoln City, Yachats and Newport. Lincoln City Still Considering 4th of July Celebrations
At a December 1, 2025 special city council meeting the Lincoln City Council voted unanimously to forgo a contract with Sky Elements for a drone light show as part of this year’s Fourth of July celebration. The decision follows widespread community feedback expressing disappointment with last year’s drone event and a strong preference for the return of traditional fireworks. Councilor Marcy Baker, who made the motion to drop the drone contract, cited a clear public sentiment:
