Lincoln County Showing A Strong Early Voter Turnout
Lincoln County Clerk Amy Southwell said election officials are seeing strong early participation, with nearly 15% of ballots already returned as of Friday October 23rd. The main batch of ballots left a Bend mailing house on Oct. 14 and was sent to Portland for distribution. Most were officially mailed the following day, she said. At a special meeting held Monday October 5, the Lincoln City City Council passed Resolution 2026-27, to correct the record on Measure 21-243 by striking “at an alternate site” from the Explanatory Statement from the Lincoln County Voters’ Pamphlet. In the race for Governor it looks like it will be Republican Christine Drazen who currently has 47% of the vote who is going against Tina Kotek, who has over 84%. For US Representative 4th district it appears Val Hoyle is in the lead for democrats and Monique DeSpain is ahead for the republicans.
