Crash On Yaquina Bay Bridge
Saturday, April 4th at around 2pm Newport police responded to a report of a two car crash that occurred on the Yaquina Bay Bridge causing weekend traffic to back up for over an hour and a half. According to Newport Police the driver of a Toyota Tacoma traveling north over the bridge drifted to the right and struck the northbound sidewalk on the bridge, then the truck bounced into the southbound lane. DHS Employee Arrested After Attempting To Burn Avery Building In Newport
On Monday, April 6, 2026, a woman was seen buying gasoline at a Circle K in Newport and then pouring it all over the Avery Building on NE Avery Street. This building is home to several government offices, including the Oregon Department of Human Services.
