19-Year Old From Siletz Arrested After High Speed Chase
On Sunday August 9th, 2026, just after midnight, Newport Police arrested 19-year old Shataha Beggs of Siletz, after she attempted to elude police. The event started when a Newport Officer observed a Toyota Camry with no license plates traveling through Newport at a high rate of speed. Lincoln County Crews Continue To Help With Wildfires
After a brief period with all of our deployed firefighters back home, Lincoln County has once again been called upon to assist Oregonians battling wildfires around the state.
