NEWPORT, OR — April 4, 2026 – Join the American Cetacean Society (ACS) – Oregon Chapter for a National Dolphin Day celebration on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM. The event will be held at the Hatfield Marine Science Center Visitor Center, located at 2030 SE Marine Science Drive in Newport.

Dolphins are highly intelligent cetaceans known for their acrobatic behaviors and social complexity. With over 40 species inhabiting the world's oceans and several major river systems, they play a vital role in marine ecosystems. However, these incredible animals face mounting challenges, including microplastics, chemical pollution, and habitat degradation.
