Gardening Program at Newport Public Library on June 13: “Bring Back the Pollinators!”

Newport Public Library is pleased to announce the next “Garden Literacy with LCMGA” program, a quarterly presentation featuring the expertise of the Lincoln County Master Gardener™ Association (LCMGA). The LCMGA works in collaboration with the OSU Extension Service Master Gardener™ Program.

This session is titled “Bring Back the Pollinators!” and takes place on Saturday, June 13 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the McEntee Meeting Room of Newport Public Library at 35 NW Nye Street in Newport.

Join Amy Vernon from the Xerces Society in a discussion on why we should care about pollinators, what kind of threats they are experiencing, and how we can help with conservation in and out of the garden.  This will be an informal, conversational class and we hope you will share some of your experiences with us as well!
