Grammy-Nominated Brazilian Sensation Caro Pierotto to Bring "Samba Chic" to Newport Performing Arts Center

NEWPORT, OR – Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) is proud to present an evening of vibrant rhythms and global soul as world-renowned Brazilian singer-songwriter Caro Pierotto takes the stage in the Alice Silverman Theatre on Friday, February 6 at 7:00 pm. Audiences will be transported from Nye Beach to the heart of Brazil through her signature "Samba Chic" sound.

Known for her “vintage voice” and deliciously soulful style, Pierotto has become a global force in the music scene. Her album, Sambalismo, was widely acclaimed as one of the best Brazilian albums of 2023, while her previous work, Em Português, earned a place on the Grammy ballot for Best Global Music Album.
