Newport Performing Arts Center to screen Met Opera’s “Così fan tutte” in HD

NEWPORT, OR: Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) will present an HD screening of Metropolitan Opera’s production of Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 am, on the big screen in the Alice Silverman Theatre inside Newport Performing Arts Center.

Mozart’s satirical comedy about fickle young love is a work widely regarded as one of the composer’s most sublime creations. Director Phelim McDermott’s staging reimagines the opera with a colorful, inventive 1950s Coney Island theme, setting the story’s uproarious tale of two pairs of lovers against the backdrop of a boardwalk amusement park.
