A delegation from Newport’s Sister City of Mombetsu, Japan will visit Newport on an
upcoming cultural exchange. They will arrive on May 16th, and depart on May 19th .
While this is a very quick visit, the City of Newport Sister City Committee has been
planning an informative, and fun cultural exchange for the delegation.

Farewell Delegation at the Hallmark Hotel to see off the Mombetsu Sister City
Delegation. During this visit, the Mombetsu guests will have an opportunity to tour various City facilities, Mombetsu Sister City Park, and local attractions including the Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, and several local businesses, as well as enjoy the natural beauty of our area. The public is welcome to attend the welcoming events and special city council meeting.
