Registered Sex Offender Arrested At National Night Out

Thomas Sutton, attended the Newport National Night Out event, much like many in Newport, however he is a registered sex offender and was not supposed to be in places where children are present. He reportedly walked by several kids being fitted for bike helmets, entered the armory where several kids were getting cotton candy, pop corn, and getting their faces painted and getting school supplies. Several Newport Officers recognized him and called his Probation Officer who ordered him to be taken to jail. He also was also found in possession of methamphetamine and faces charges regarding that.
