The public process for updating the Short Term Rental (STR) program was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Echo Mountain Fire event. As a result of these events the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners extended the suspension of accepting new licenses in the STR program until June 1, 2021. The Board of Commissioners adopted Ordinance #487, #490, and #509 to establish conditions for the operation of short term rentals of dwelling units located within the unincorporated areas of Lincoln County and to implement a licensing program to ensure compliance with those standards.
The first STR workshop will be held January 20th at 6pm. Participants who wish to provide live input will need to register in advance and sign into their Zoom account (which is free).
