On August 12, 2021 State Police Trooper Plummer contacted the driver of a Toyota for driving poorly on 3 Rocks Road. During the initial contact the driver, identified as 83-year old Leo J. Volmering drove away and a short pursuit entailed. After the pursuit was terminated Mr. Volmering was later located at his residence and was arrested for DUII. He provided a breath sample indicating a .05 blood alcohol content, under the legal limit however he was was cited and released to his residence for DUII, reckless driving and attempt to elude in a vehicle.
