Another Storm Headed Our Way


The National Weather Service has issued another High Wind Warning for the coast. South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. Gusts up to 70 mph possible on beaches and headlands. This storm is expected to hit hard tomorrow (11/17) until 3pm. Rain is expected to continue today with wind gusts up to 30-mph. Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. People should avoid being outside and around trees and branches. Use caution if you must drive. Make sure to have an emergency kit in your home with flashlights, food, batteries and a radio. Radio stations may go off the air if there is a power outage. Keep tuning your radio until you get a station that is on the air and can provide you with important storm information. Make sure if there is a power outage you have plenty of blankets to keep warm and ready to eat meals.
