The Celebration of Honor sponsored by Chinook Winds Casino Resort will be held September 18-21 at Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City. The 16th Annual Celebration of Honor, is an event to honor Active Duty Personnel and Military Veterans. There will be a Field of Honor, Oregon KIA Memorial Wall ‘Wall of Honor’ (Iraq and Afghanistan), Living Military History Weapons Display, Uniform Display in the Convention Center. There will also be a Veterans Services information tent for Veterans and their families Friday and Saturday.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18th, Veterans and active-duty personnel eat FREE during open hours at the Siletz Bay Buffet. Veterans and active-duty personnel must stop by the Winners Circle to register and show proof of military service (DD-214 or other Military ID), to receive this benefit. Only one free voucher per person.
Comedy on the Coast on Sept. 19th at 8pm, Up to 2 Free tickets for Veterans & Active-Duty personnel. Oregon Veterans Medal Presentation Ceremony at Field of Honor – Saturday, Sept. 21st at 10am Re-dedication of Desert Storm Memorial and closing ceremony in front of Casino – Saturday, Sept. 21st at 5pm.
