City Of Newport Parks & Rec. Director, Jim Protiva Leaving His Position

Newport City Manager, Spencer Nebel, reported that the City of Newport Parks and Recreation Director, Jim Protiva, will be leaving his position effective August 2, 2019. Protiva has served in this position since August of 2005.

Nebel reported that, in the coming weeks, the city plans to conduct a search to fill the position. Judy Mayhew, Recreation Superintendent, will be named Acting Parks and Recreation Director until a replacement is named.
