County Commission Chair Claire Hall is recuperating after a fall that took place in the county commission offices last week. She reported that she was walking through the office and turned a corner where her foot caught on an electrical cord, causing her to trip and fall. "I fell hard on my right side." Hall broke her shoulder and her hip. She was taken to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital where she had surgery on her hip and has been undergoing physical therapy.
Hall said she will still be able to do her work, just remotely through email, phone and zoom, until she is able to return to the office. The September 3rd Board of Commissioners meeting was canceled because Hall said there were no pressing matters to discuss because it was a short week because of the Labor Day holiday. The next board of commissioners meeting is scheduled for September 17th and Hall said she is hoping to be recovered enough to attend that meeting in person and if not she will attend virtually. In the meantime those who need to get a hold of Hall can reach her by her BOC email.
