On 12/17/19 @ approximately 11:49 am State Police Trooper Fitch was dispatched to a single vehicle crash. The driver of a Ford was westbound on HWY 20 at milepost 3 when the driver collided with the guardrail and went through the eastbound lane. The car struck an earth embankment and overturned. The driver, identified as 34-year old Daniel J. M. Leiba of Siletz declined medical attention. He showed signs of impairment and performed field sobriety tests showing further impairment. Leiba was arrested and transported to Lincoln County Jail and provided a breath sample measuring a Blood Alcohol Content of .13%. Lincoln County Sheriff personnel assisted at the scene.
