On 5/6/21 at approximately 5PM a southbound green Subaru left the roadway and struck the Alsea Bay Bridge wall on Highway 101 near Waldport. The Subaru suffered severe damage. The male driver and female passenger left the scene of the crash and walked southbound. The couple was contacted by Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies and detained on outstanding warrants. Oregon State Police took custody of the male driver, who was identified as 32-year old Christopher J. Page. He exhibited signs of impairment plus numerous syringes with evidence of controlled substances were discovered around the crash scene. Page arrested for DUI and Failure to Perform Duties of a driver.
