Writer: Kiera MorganKiera Morgan

Oregon State Police responded to a driving complaint on Honda Accord that was reported swerving all over the roadway as it traveled south on Hwy 101 leaving Lincoln City. The car was located near Depoe Bay and additional poor driving was observed. State Police Trooper Larson pulled the car over and contacted the driver, identified as 57-year old Jeffrey L. Wodtli of Sweet Home, who displayed several indicators of impairment but refused to participate in field sobriety tests.

He was placed in custody and transported the Lincoln County Jail where he refused to provide a breath sample. A warrant was applied for and granted for the his breath and blood. The blood draw was executed at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital and Wodtli provided a breath sample under the search warrant, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.23%, nearly three times the legal limit. Wodtli was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for DUII – Felony, DWS Misdemeanor, Reckless Driving, and Fail to Carry and Present License.
