Drunk and Drugged Drivers Crash

A single vehicle crash occurred and was called in by an off duty Benton County Sheriff's Office deputy. Multiple deputies detained the driver who was seen running down the middle of the highway multiple miles from his truck. Upon arriving, the driver, idenetified as 42-year old Tyran C. Meirow of Rockaway Beach exhibited multiple signs of impairment and admitted using marijuana and methamphetamine earlier in the evening. He was arrested and subsequently transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he refused to provide a breath sample. A warrant was applied for and granted. Meirow was lodged in Lincoln County Jail for DUII and Reckless Driving.

A single vehicle crash occurred on hwy 229 when, for unknown reasons, a vehicle lost control and slid into oncoming traffic before striking a tree. The driver was injured and transported to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. An investigation revealed that the driver, identified as David A. Vasquez of Siletz had been drinking. He was arrested for DUII and transported to the

Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged after being discharged from the hospital. Siletz Fire and Pacific West Ambulance assisted on scene.

On 6/20/2023 a 2016 Mazda 6 was reported to have struck a utility pole on US-101 near Gleneden Beach. The driver, identified as Eva A. Andre of Depoe Bay was located at Chester’s Market and after an investigation she was arrested for DUII. She provided a breath sample that showed she had a .15 blood alcohol limit and was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail.

On 6/22/2023 a driving complaint was called in as a possible DUII driver of a GMC in Lincoln City. The car was located parked, and the driver, idrntified as 58-year old Steven C. Kenner of Yamhill Oregon displayed multiple signs of impairment. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, refused, and was subsequently arrested for DUII. A search warrant was applied for and granted. Kenner provided a breath sample of .10 Blood Alcohol Content multiple hours after the initial stop. He was transported to Lincoln County Jail and lodged on the crime of DUII. Lincoln City Police Department assisted on scene and with their facilities.
