Helicopter Crashes in Logsden Cow Pasture, Pilot Injured

LOGSDEN, Ore. — Emergency crews responded to a helicopter crash Thursday morning in a rural area near Logsden.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received reports of an unknown crash at approximately 8:37 a.m. on January 15 near the 2800 block of Moonshine Park Road. Deputies later confirmed the incident involved a commercially operated Bell JetRanger helicopter that crashed into a cow pasture.
Authorities say the helicopter did not strike any structures, and no nearby residents or livestock were injured. There is no ongoing threat to the community.
The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the helicopter, was contacted at the scene and transported to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have taken over the investigation.
