On 06/24/21 at approximately midnight, a two-vehicle collision occurred on Hwy-101 around Neotsu. Investigation showed a southbound Dodge pickup topped a hill and encountered a Suzuki passenger car sideways in its southbound lane of travel. Scene evidence and statements indicate the driver of the Suzuki, identified as 32-year old Tessa L. Padgett of Toledo was northbound, lost control, and crossed the center line and southbound lane of travel before crashing into the southbound guardrail and coming to rest sideways in the southbound lane.
Padgett was transported by PACWEST Ambulance to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital with injuries sustained from the crash. All occupants of the pickup were uninjured. Upon contact with Padgett, several indicators of impairment were observed and an implied consent blood draw was obtained. Afterward she was cited and released for DUII-Alcohol and Reckless Driving. Lincoln City Police, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies, ODOT, North Lincoln Fire, and PACWEST Ambulance assisted the scene.
