Lincoln City Asks "How Do You Want To Celebrate 4th of July?"

The public is invited to attend a community town hall to discuss the Fourth of July Celebration in Lincoln City. This town hall provides an opportunity for residents, business owners, community organizations, and city leadership to share perspectives, offer ideas, and engage in a constructive discussion about how Independence Day is celebrated in Lincoln City. You have received this message because you submitted public comment on this topic. Please feel free to share with other members of the community.

The Town Hall will be held on Tuesday January 13th, 2026 6pm at the Lincoln City Community Center. Members of the public who are unable to attend in person are welcome to submit public comments in advance by email to publiccomment@lincolncity.org. Please make sure to have the information submitted before noon on January 13th.

Some of the questions the Council is looking for input on are:

  • What type of nighttime show should the City provide (if any)?

  • Should it be a multiple day celebration (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)?

  • Should the celebration focus on a certain part of town (Taft), or spread out across thecity?

In 2026, the United States will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of American Independence. This is a significant milestone in our country’s history. Lincoln City wants to be the backdrop where residents and visitors can come together to join in this historic celebration. Community participation is encouraged, and all voices are welcome as we consider the future of this important civic tradition.
