Lincoln City Celebrates Community Days

Lincoln City will come alive April 18–26, 2025, for the 65th annual Community Days celebration — a vibrant, weeklong series of events designed to honor local heroes, showcase civic pride, and connect neighbors across North Lincoln County.

Originally centered on a community awards banquet recognizing outstanding volunteers and leaders, Community Days has grown into a wide-ranging celebration of all things Lincoln City — from low-tide golf to star-gazing, trivia, salsa, and duck races.

“The events help newcomers and longtime locals alike get to know some of the nonprofits and clubs that make a difference every day here in Lincoln City,” said Dave Price, one of this year’s event organizers. “And it’s an opportunity to play nine holes of golf on the Siletz Bay at low tide.” That unique “Mudflat Golf” tournament — a fan favorite — returns Friday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For just $5, golfers receive a ball, a club, and a one-of-a-kind experience on the temporarily drained tidal flats. Proceeds benefit the Taft High boys’ and girls’ golf teams. It’s a great time, but it’s worth getting there on the early side. “This might be the only golf course in the country that literally becomes one giant hazard within a few hours,” Price said.

The week continues with a lineup of more than 20 events across Lincoln City:

  • Beach Bonfire with Free Hot Dogs & S’mores – Friday, April 18 at 5 p.m., Taft Beach near the Dock, sponsored by NW Natural

  • ¡Fiesta Fénix! – A family-friendly evening of Latin food, culture, and music on Saturday, April 19

  • Veterans’ Appreciation Lunch – April 23, hosted at Ed Johann Veterans Park

  • Lincoln City Memories – Come share your stories of Lincoln City gone by, at the North Lincoln County Historical Museum

  • Food Drive – Service clubs and businesses staff the food drive along Hwy. 101 at Grocery Outlet all day long, collecting food and cash for the Lincoln City Food Pantry

  • “Tree-via” Arbor Day Trivia Night – April 25 at The Pines Dine

  • Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast – April 26, 7:30-10:30am at Mo’s

The awards ceremony marks the culmination of the week. In a relaxed, affordable format, hamburgers, veggie burgers, and drinks will be available for $5, and a cash bar will be offered. Lincoln City food truck favorite Mo Mo on the Wheels will also be on-site serving Himalayan momos. Community awards include:
