Lincoln City Police Respond To DUII's


On October 6th 2022 Lincoln City police officer Delugach responded to a report of a hit and run. Investigation showed the driver of a Dodge Caravan struck a retaining wall and a parked Honda on NW Jetty Ave and fled the scene. The driver of the Dodge, identified as 67-year old Arthur Habermann, was located and when contacted showed signs of impairment. His blood alcohol content was measured at .16, twice the legal limit. He was cited and released for DUII alcohol.


On Friday October 7, 2022 Lincoln City police received a driving complaint on a Honda CRV that was reported to be swerving all over the road and almost struck pedestrians and ran up over the curb. The driver, identified as 41-year old Millicent Shade, was pulled over on hwy 101 and SE 54th street. When contacted she showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on the safety field sobriety tests. Afterward she was cited and released from the Lincoln City police department for DUII. The Honda was towed.


On Sunday October 9 Lincoln City police received a report of a Honda Civic that was unable to maintain its lane. Lincoln City police officer Delugach responded to a report of a single car crash on Highway 101 and SE 27th that involved a Honda Civic. The driver, identified as 70-year old Charles Wood was transported by ambulance to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital for injuries he sustained from the crash. He was cited and released at the hospital for DUII and the Honda was impounded.
