“For many years residents in south county have made requests for us to provide health
care services south of Newport.” said Jayne Romero, Health & Human Services Director.
“We are happy we have been able to purchase this building to address this long-standing
need. It is ideal for the operation of a health care clinic. Lincoln County Health and Human Services purchased the 2,000 square foot building at 525 N. Bay St. in April of this year and made extensive improvements during the summer. Parking for the event is available at the building with overflow parking across the street.
With this expansion, Lincoln Community Health Center can now provide primary care,
mental health, and some public health services to south Lincoln County residents closer
to home. Romero explained that residents “will be able to receive general health care,
immunizations, reproductive care and any needed labs or referrals at our new clinic”.
Romero emphasized that because Health & Human Services encompasses Primary Care,
Mental Health, and Public Health, the clinic will be able to offer wholistic care to patients
at one location. The public is welcome to begin making appointments at the clinic during the open house or by calling 541-265-4947.
