Multiple DUII Arrests Made


On 4/14/23 State Police received a driving complaint of a possible DUII driver in a Jeep Wrangler on Highway 101 south of Otter Crest. The Jeep was located and pulled over after it was observed driving into oncoming traffic, nearly causing a collision. The driver, identified as Majesta L. Brown exhibited signs of being impaired. She consented to Safety Field Sobriety Test's and performed extremely poor. Brown was taken into custody where she refused to provide a breath sample. A warrant was applied for and obtained, and she still refused to provide breath. A blood sample was obtained by a Paramedic from Pacific West Ambulance. After reluctantly providing a urine sample Brown was lodged in Lincoln County Jail for the crimes of DUII and Reckless Driving.


On 4/15/23 at approximately 6PM State Police Trooper Severson assisted Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Cloud with a driving under the influence of alcohol investigation. Due to language barrier, Trooper Severson performed the investigation on a driver, identified as 37-year old Hernandez A. Murillo and observed numerous signs of impairment including odor of alcohol and slurred speech. After the investigation he was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln City Police Department. Murillo consented to a breath sample measuring a .20 Blood Alcohol Content, over twice the legal limit. He was cited and released for DUII Alcohol.


On 4/15/2023 State Police Trooper Kanbara stopped the driver of a Kia Telluride for a traffic violation on US-101 near Devils Lake Recreation Area. After an investigation the driver, identified as 33-year old Ross D. Wilson was arrested for DUII-Alcohol. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where they provided a breath sample of .11 blood alcohol content. Wilson was cited and released for DUII.


On 04/16/23, State Police Trooper Kanbara stopped the driver of a Nissan Sentra for a traffic violation near on U.S. Highway 101, near D-River Wayside in Lincoln City. The driver, identified as 42-year old Victoria A, Labonte of Spokane Washington showed signs of impairment. She consented to Safety Field Sobriety Tests and showed impairment during the tests. Afterward Labonte was taken into custody for DUII however sh refused to consent to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was granted for a breath and blood sample from the driver. She continuted to refuse to comply with the search warrant and did not provide a breath sample. Two vials of blood were collected and Labonte was lodged at Lincoln County Jail for DUII.


On 4/20/2023 just after midnight State Police Trooper Nathman stopped the driver of a Ford truck for a traffic violation after it was observed leaving the area of a bar in Newport. The driver, identified as 32-year old Randall A. Lee of Richton Mississippi immediately exhibited multiple signs of impairment. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he consented to and performed poorly on. Afterward he was subsequently arrested for DUII and was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he provided a breath sample of .24 blood alcohol content, three times the legal limit. Lee was lodged in jail for the crimes of DUII and Recklessly Endangering Another.


On 4/20/23 at approximately 430PM State Police Trooper Severson responded to a vehicle crash near milepost 29 of US Highway 20. Investigation showed the driver of a Red Ford Escape left the roadway and crashed into trees off of the eastbound shoulder. The driver, identified as 68-year old Kathlees J. Jossart of Salem displayed numerous signs of impairment. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Hospital blood draw resulted in a .27 blood alcohol level, over three times the legal limit. When Jossart was cleared at hospital she was transported to Lincoln County Jail. She reportedly told witnesses she intended to crash the vehicle. She was lodged and charged with Criminal Mischief 1, DUI Alcohol, and DWS Misdemeanor.
