Writer's picture: Kiera MorganKiera Morgan

Newport City Manager Nina Vetter will host a community discussion on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Newport Public Library, located at 35 NW Nye St., from 5 to 6 p.m. This event will take place in front of the library’s fireplace and is open to all community members, providing an opportunity to discuss topics impacting Newport’s present and future with city leadership.

“As City Manager, it is important for me to regularly meet with community members, offer an open forum to discuss city goals and programs, and address any questions on those topics,” Vetter said. “The library is the perfect place to kick off this series as it’s a positive and impactful community resource in Newport, and will offer a comfortable setting to have meaningful discussions with community members.” Seating space during the Community Discussion may be limited, but community members may also stand throughout the discussion. Coffee and hot cocoa will be provided.
