The Oregon Coast Aquarium announced they will be reopening on Saturday, January 30th after being closed since December 18, 2020. Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the gate but there will be no cash transactions accepted. No reservations are necessary. Their hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm everyday and visitors must wear a face covering and remain at least 6-ft. away from those not in their party. Visitors will be allowed on a one-way path inside only. Since the closures the Aquarium has continued care for animals.
Volunteers have been instrumental in keeping the Aquarium grounds up and helping to take care of the exhibits and animals. From working on special projects and clerical work to preparing food for the animals. Dive volunteers plunge into cold waters to clean exhibits, horticulture volunteers maintain the native flora spanning Aquarium grounds.Behind every department is a group of volunteers, contributing to the Aquarium’s mission and allowing staff to continue their efforts, such as educational outreach and injured animal triage.The Oregon Coast Aquarium recognizes and thanks its volunteers for their efforts and loyalty.
