OSP Crash Report
On 02/11/2022 at approximately 11:00pm. A 911 caller reported a Red Pontiac Grand Prix was on fire on highway 101 near Immonen Road south of Lincoln City. Upon arrival the vehicle fire was put out by the Depoe Bay Fire Department. The driver had left the scene and was unable to be contacted. The vehicle owner was from Rainier Oregon.
On 02/12/2022 at approximately 3:39pm a Silver Toyota Highlander traveling northbound collided with a Blue Toyota Tacoma who was stopped for a car attempting to turn left on Hwy 101 where a no left turn is permitted. The Northbound lane was closed during the investigation. Medics provided aid to the driver of the vehicles and the driver of the Highlander was taken to the hospital. The driver and passenger of Toyota Tacoma were not injured and drove home due to minimal damage.
On 2/15/2022 a tan 2005 Ram 3500 crashed on SR-18 around milepost 5. The driver was traveling west on SR-18 when it swerved to avoid an animal in the road, lost control and crashed into a utility pole. The driver suffered no injuries and was warned for careless driving and failure to maintain lane.
On 2/15/2022 a red 1989 Nissan D21 pickup truck was stopped for a traffic violation on SE 3rd St in Lincoln City. After an investigation the driver, 44-year old Jesse L. Freeman of Lincoln City was revealed to have two misdemeanor warrants out of Lincoln County. On 2/16/2022 a silver 2007 Honda Civic was stopped for a traffic violation on Hwy-101 around the D River Wayside. After an investigation the driver 28-year old Benito M. Solis was revealed to be driving uninsured and parked in a no parking zone. He was cited for driving uninsured and the car was impounded.
