OSP Responds To Several Crashes


State Police Trooper Nathman responded to a report of a two car crash on hwy 101 by Otter Rock. Investigation showed the driver of a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee, identified as 45-year old Jeremy L. Zoske of Newport was driving northbound in ln one lane while the driver of a gold Kia Sorrento, identified as 42-year old Ransom De Santos Lopez of Otis was driving northbound in the B-next lane. For unknown reasons, the Jeep and the Kia collided.


Both drivers stated that the other driver crossed over into their lane, causing the collision. Mr. Zoske was originally going to be stopped for speeding, before knowledge of the collision existed. He was found to be driving while suspended and uninsured and was cited for speeding, driving uninsured, and driving while suspended. No injuries to either party as a result of the collision.


On 07/12/22 at approximately 11:00 AM, State Police Sgt Tucker responded to a report of a two-vehicle t-bone crash at the north intersection of US-101 and Gleneden Beach Loop. Investigation showed the driver of a white Jeep was eastbound and turned left northbound in front of southbound white Suburban, causing the T-bone crash. No injuries were reported, but there were complaints of pain.


While traveling Southbound on US 101 north of Lincoln City headed from Neskowin a grey Toyota Tacoma left the roadway striking the guardrail and two trees before coming to a rest facing Northbound. Two occupants were transported to the Hospital in Lincoln County and the third fled the scene due to outstanding warrants. ODOT, Lincoln City Police and Fire assisted at the scene.
