Police Respond To DUII's and Make Warrant Arrest


On 2/16/23 State Police Trooper Nathman stopped the driver of a Mazda for driving outside of its lane on SW 2nd in Newport. The driver, identified as 20-year old Sergio B. Gregorio of Newport when contact reportedly exhibited multiple signs of impairment. He consented to field sobriety tests and after he performed poorly he was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he provided a breath sample, which showed he had a blood alcohol content of .15, almost twice the legal limit. Gregorio was lodged at the jail for DUII


On 2/16/2023 Lincoln City police officer King and emergency crews from North Lincoln Fire responded to a two car crash on highway 101 and SW 32nd in Lincoln City. One of the drivers involved in the crash identified as 56-year old Raymond E. Boring was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. While at the hospital Boring was cited and released for DUII and reckless driving.


On 2/17/2023 Oregon State Police trooper Kolacz stopped a Ford on US-101 in Gleneden Beach as the passenger was not wearing a seat belt. During contact the driver was also not wearing a seat belt. An investigation found the driver, identified as 58-year old James T. Taylor of Pacific City was criminal suspended to drive in Oregon. He also had a warrant for his arrest in Lincoln County, Tillamook County, and Coos County. Taylor was arrested and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for his warrants out of Lincoln County and Tillamook County and for a new charge of Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor.
