Portion of Oceanview Drive Closed Due To Sinkhole

NW Oceanview Drive is closed just south of the Agate Beach Wayside, and north of NW 25th Street, due to the discovery of a large sinkhole in the roadway. The full roadway safety closure is in place for both northbound and southbound traffic. Drivers are asked to detour the area impacted completely, as the road section is closed.

For safety, this section of NW Oceanview Drive will remain closed until engineers can determine the extent of the roadway damage, and for the City to repair it. At this time, it is

not known when NW Oceanview Drive will reopen. Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area, and use alternative routes which would be Highway 101.

Traffic Impacts

• The north closure point on NW Oceanview Drive is located after the Agate Beach

Wayside

• The south closure point is located on NW Oceanview Drive at the NW 25th Street

intersection

• Do not bypass the closure barricades

• NW 25th Street remains open.

• NW Pacific Place remains open
