Preliminary Election Results


Here are the preliminary results of the May 20th special election with 85% of the ballots counted and a low 23% voter turnout as of 8pm. Ballot Measure 21-232 from the Lincoln County School District has passed with 5840 yes votes. The funds will go to increase school safety, repair aging schools and expand vocational training. Measure 21-233 – Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue District – Renewal of 5-year Operational Levy is close with 436 yes votes and 416 no. Measure 21-234 – East Lincoln County Fire & Rescue District –  five year levy for needed equipment and disaster preparedness is also close with 208 yes votes and 181 No. For the OCCC board Chris Chandler was re elected over Catherine Roller. For the school district Mitch Parsons and Jason Malloy will keep their seats on the board and David Cowden was elected for zone 5, south county.
