Treasure hunters, mark your calendars for the Great Oregon Coast Garage Sale, returning this summer to the Central Oregon Coast. Residents in the Lincoln City and Newport areas will hold individual yard sale sites all on the same weekend: Friday through Sunday, August 7-9.
For a $20 fee, you can have your own yard/garage sale. You will receive a listing that’s included on the official Great Oregon Coast Garage Sale map, which will be distributed through Oregon Coast Today. Over 7,500 copies will be handed out from Manzanita to Yachats, and will include a hyperlink to Google Maps coordinates for each sale site.
The deadline to register and be included on the map is Tuesday, July 21. To register in the Newport area, participants can go to bit.ly/ORCoastGarageSale, where they will be prompted to share the garage sale location, description, and times of availability during the sale weekend. Those in the north county can register at business.lcchamber.com/events/details/great-oregon-garage-sale-map-registration-559.
For those who don’t wish to hold their own sale but would like to donate, the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce will be accepting items at their office. All donated items must receive prior approval from the Chamber. Sought after items include household items such as furniture, office equipment, tools, kitchenware, books, outdoor equipment, etc. Please, no clothing or large appliances.
