State Of The Coast Conference

The annual State of the Coast Conference is being held virtually this year and offered to the public free of charge. The conference, hosted by Oregon Sea Grant, will be Nov. 5-6, from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Pre-registration is required by Nov. 2. The State of the Coast conference is a chance to have fun and learn while listening to informative talks on current marine science and policy issues, participate in hands-on activities, and network with research, industry and community leaders.

This year’s keynote speaker is world-renowned whale expert Dr. Leigh Torres. Her talk is titled, “Illuminating the many shades of gray whale life in Oregon waters.” You can find photos of Leigh in this album on the Oregon Sea Grant Flickr site. Also, here is an album of photos from the 2019 conference. If you have questions about the conference, please contact organizers Jamie Doyle, Oregon Sea Grant Extension Coastal Community Development Specialist at jamie.doyle@oregonstate.edu, or Megan Kleibacker, Assistant to the Director at megan.kleibacker@oregonstate.edu.
