State Police DUII Citations and Arrest


On 07/15/2022 at approximately 7:16pm, a Green Honda was traveling southbound on highway 101 at the top of otter crest. The car was called in due to the driver making concerning statements about self-harm. Upon stopping the car the state police trooper observed the driver, identified as 39-year old Jai A Christiansen of Albany had slurred speech along with an odor of alcohol. He was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests. Based on the evidence from the test's, the Christiansen was arrested for DUII and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was cited and released after providing a breath sample.


On 7/16/22 at approximately 2:45PM State Police Trooper Severson stopped the driver of a GMC after receiving a driving complaint on US Highway 101 in Depoe Bay. The driver, identified as 56-year old Tammy G Hegwood of Klamath Falls showed signs of impairment including odor of alcohol and slurring her speech. She performed field sobriety tests and displayed additional signs of impairment. Afterward she was arrested and transported to Lincoln County Jail where Hegwood provided a breath sample measuring a blood alcohol content of .17. She was cited and released for DUII and driving while suspended.


Around 5 pm on July 17th the Oregon State Police had been notified a Chevrolet Malibu had driven through a ditch and continued northbound on highway 229 near milepost 12. State Police Trooper Kolacz drove to the location at the time and located the vehicle’s rear bumper with its license plate attached. He located the car parked at Ichwhit Park damaged and unoccupied. Later around 7:40 pm Trooper Kolacz located the car on highway 229 near milepost 1 in relation to an agency assist call in the area.


The driver, identified as 51-year old Noni M. Thompson, when contacted showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on voluntary field sobriety tests. She was arrested and transported to the jail in Newport where she provided a breath sample indicating a .23, Blood Alcohol Content almost three times the legal limit. Thompson was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.
