On 1/12/2023 just after 7pm the driver of a Nissan Sentra was stopped by State Police Trooper Nathman on highway 18 for expired registration. The driver, identified as 45-year old Timothy A. Jones of Independence was found to be driving while suspended and driving uninsured. The Nissan was towed and impound. Jones was issued was issued traffic citations.
On the same day about an hour later while patrolling highway 101 Trooper Nathman stopped a Subaru Impreza near the D River Wayside for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as 46-year old Terra B. Denney of Lincoln City was found to have an active warrant for her arrest.
She was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on the warrant for failure to appear.
On 01/13/2023 at approximately 8:40am ODOT reported a vehicle had hit one of their reader boards located on highway 101 north of Moolack Beach. Upon arrival it appeared there was vehicle debris left on scene. The truck was later located in Depoe Bay approximately 10 miles north of the location. The driver stated he hit something and then stopped at the scene but continued due to being late delivering packages. ODOT responded to assess the damage. There were no injuries, and the truck was drivable.
