Thanksgiving Day DUII's


Just after midnight on Thursday November 26th Oregon State Police Trooper Kolacz responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 in Depoe Bay. The driver, identified as 29-year old Julie A. McKuhn of Toledo was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln hospital in Lincoln City. Upon contact at the hospital she was determined to be above a 0.08% Blood Alcohol Concentration. McKuhn was cited in lieu of custody for DUII and Reckless Driving at the conclusion of the investigation.

Then around 2:35 am Trooper Kolacz responded to another single car crash on Hwy 18. The driver, identified as 35-year old Christina M Vriethoff of Gresham was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln hospital in Lincoln City. Upon contact at the hospital the she was determined to be above a 0.08% Blood Alcohol Content. She was cited in lieu of custody for DUII and Reckless Driving at the conclusion of the investigation.


Thanksgiving night around 5:25pm Trooper Kolacz responded to a third single car off the road crash on Hwy 229. While on-scene the driver, identified as 29-year old John Paul G. Santoro of Oregon City showed signs of impairment and consented to voluntary field sobriety tests. He showed signs of impairment during the tests and was arrested for DUI and was transported to the Lincoln City Police Department where he provided a breath sample indicating a 0.20% Blood Alcohol Content, over twice the legal limit. He was cited in lieu of custody for DUII and Reckless Driving.
