Toledo Man Dies In Head-On Crash On Highway 20

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 4:11 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a two-car crash on Highway 20, near milepost 26. The preliminary investigation indicated a westbound Toyota Camry, operated by 37-year old Anthony J. Estrada of Toledo, crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound Ford F-250, operated by 18-year old Rylee J. Demarre of Canby, head-on. 

The operator of the Toyota Mr. Estrada was declared deceased at the scene. The operator of the Ford (Demarre) and passengers, 23-year old Dylan J. Makana Kaopuiki of Salem and 30-year old Kener D Jesus-Ajanel of Tumwater (WA), reportedly suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The highway was impacted for approximately five hours during the on-scene investigation. Oregon State Police were assisted at the scene by ODOT.
