Wednesday Closures

All Lincoln County School District Schools will be closed Wednesday, January 17th due to hazardous road conditions in the county’s outlying areas. This closure includes Eddyville, Siletz, and Lincoln City Career Tech Charter Schools, as well as all after school activities.

The school district will provide free grab and go meals for all students on Wednesday, January 17th at the following locations, unless weather conditions prevent it. In that case, a notification will be made on the District website www.lincoln.k12.or.us and Facebook page,.

Grab and Go meals can be picked up from 12:30-1:00 Wednesday at the following sites:

  • In North Lincoln County across from the Otis Market, Oceanlake Elementary School, Taft 7-12 High School, and in Lincoln Beach at Chester’s Market.

  • In Newport at Sam Case Elementary.

  • In Toledo, at Toledo City Hall.

  • And in Waldport at Crestview Heights School

Tillamook School District is running 2-hours late and there is no AM Pre-School

Nestucca Valley School District is closed today

Oregon Coast Community College will be closed today on Wednesday, Jan. 17. The College had originally announced its intention to open Wednesday. However, prolonged power outages over the past few days – and a new outage Tuesday afternoon in South Beach – have chilled the main campus to uncomfortably cold levels. And, power, storm cleanup, and transportation challenges were still facing a number of students, faculty and staff in locations across the county as of Tuesday afternoon. “Given all they’ve been through already,” said OCCC President Dr. Birgitte Ryslinge, “we’re not going to ask students, faculty, and staff to suffer through cold temperatures indoors if we can avoid it, despite the fact that weather conditions in much of Lincoln County are expected to be markedly improved by Wednesday.”

TLC/Fibre Federal Credit Union all locations and Virtual Representative service will open three hours late today, January 17. If you do choose to visit us in-person, please use caution with any lingering slippery conditions. During this time, ITMs will remain available for self-service, and calls will be managed by our after-hours phone service. Online Banking and Mobile Banking are available for free.
