On 09/24/2020 at approximately 6:15, pm the driver of a white Toyota Corolla was eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 31.5. The driver, identified as 18-year old Adrianna L Acosta of Corvallis lost control of the car and spun across the westbound lane and off the northern shoulder of the roadway. The car struck a group of trees as it came to an uncontrolled rest. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and airbags deployed. The passenger sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Acosta reported swerving to avoid an unidentified object in the roadway. She was issued a violation citation for failure to drive within her lane. Oregon State Police were assisted at the scene by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
