Man Rescued From Cliff Near Agate Beach

On Tuesday October 27th at approximately 6:25 PM, State Police Trooper Taylor was dispatched to Agate Beach Wayside to assist with a person stuck approximately two stories up a rocky cliff. With the help of the Newport Fire Department Trooper Taylor was able to reach the base of the cliff where the individual was stuck. A volunteer with the fire department assisted with rescuing the person, and assisting him down to his family. No one was injured
